On 11th September 2025, I attended the Unknown Community Celebration at Titaan in The Hague. This event brought together founders, students, and changemakers to reflect on achievements from the past year and look ahead to future impact. The afternoon focused on connection, inspiration, and strengthening the ecosystem that supports entrepreneurs.
Like the 2024 Unknown Campus The Hague: Impact Founder Meetup that I attended last year, it was a valuable opportunity to engage with a diverse group of people who are actively shaping innovative solutions for the future.
Opening 2025-26 Academic Year
The event also included the official opening of the new 2025-26 academic year, by Jan Peter Balkenende, the former Prime Minister of the Netherlands.
It was nice to have the chance to have a quick chat to him after the ceremony – he was very positive about my home country of Australia!

Waste 2 Plate
It was a great opportunity to also meet some of the entrepreneurs participating in the Waste 2 Plate Project – an initiative aimed at addressing food waste challenges by empowering startups to create innovative, sustainable, and marketable products using upcycled food ingredients.

It was great to talk to a few of these inspiring start ups and scale ups, from around the world.

Overall, it was an energising gathering that highlighted the importance of collaboration, shared knowledge, and community.
