Thanks to CBEC (Caboolture Business Enterprise Centre), on the 13th October 2010 and 10th November 2010, a group of us had the opportunity to learn how to “work with words” and write a press release.
One of the interesting aspects of this was learning the power of the words you choose to use. For example, here were some suggestions of words that bring the element of surprise:
- Amazing
- Astonishing
- Astounding
- Startling
- Fantastic
- Extraordinary
- Noteworthy
One of the things I will be focussing on is expanding my vocabulary!
After these workshops, I taught social media classes to a great group at CBEC.
