2024 Rise & Lead: Introduction to Neurodiversity at Work

I am thrilled to be presenting at the Rise and Lead Women Summit in hashtag#TheHague tomorrow. Jonathan Evans 🟥 and I will give a breakout session : Introduction to Neurodiversity (at work).

I’m really glad that Ebere Akadiri and her team have expanded their already very successful summit to include even more aspects of #diversity and #inclusion. Very much looking forward to the event!

Our session is already fully booked, so for those who secured a spot, we will be sharing the below. If you’re not coming to the summit and want to know more, send me a direct message and I’ll be in touch with other opportunities.

Jonathan and I have already been accepted to another conference next month in hashtag#Amsterdam to again team up to share our ever-increasing knowledge and experience around neurodiversity.

I’m also working closely with the Neurodiversity Foundation with the fabulous Tjerk Feitsma and Lana Kristine Jelenjev to support the fantastic work they are doing in this field, including the Neurodiversity Pride Day.

And have been working with Charina Ori from the inclusion office at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences to prepare a neurodiversity panel for our diversity week next month, with our chair of the executive board, Elisabeth Minnemann introducing this session. More on that soon.

I didn’t plan to become a (neuro)diversity advocate. However I’m also really excited to see how life often pushes you in a path where the skills, knowledge and experience you have is just what many other people need to learn more about. And that this understanding helps make our lives and work environment hashtag#neuroinclusive – ultimately that much better for us ALL.

This is a challenging but also incredibly rewarding area to work in – especially with such fabulous people to work alongside. It’s also very vulnerable work but I’ve learned so much from Manuela Damant and Brené Brown that this is where the magic happens.

Thank you to you all for your curiosity, kindness, patience and support so far.

Why is #neurodiversity such an important #DEI topic, what do you need to know and how does it affect you? We will explain a few basics and give some practical information. Whether you are neurodivergent, neurotypical or not sure, we encourage participants to come and discuss how we can better understand each other and ALL bring our best to work.
