I have launched a new Instagram account dedicated to diversities. I’ve specifically chosen the word “diversities” in place of diversity to represent the very many aspects such as:
- Gender
- Race
- Sexual orientation
- Culture
- Religion
- Skin, Eye, Hair Colour and other aspects of appearance
- Neurodiversity
I’ve taught intercultural communication and intercultural competence for some time. I truly believe our very many differences are what makes life so interesting and amazing. Sadly, there is still so many judgments and barriers to acceptance, and therefore it’s important to ensure we continue to highlight and discuss how we can continue to make it safer for everyone in the world to feel safe to be seen, be heard, and be YOU.
