A Facebook event “Holland Against Hate: Protest against Trump’s Muslim Ban” currently has 15,000 “interested” and 4,000 registered as attending at 4pm Wednesday 1 February.
Organised by Wouter Booij, he states that it “…began with a Facebook event and an email to The Hague police that he expected around 50 people with a megaphone” however this is now likely to number in the thousands, with a programme including music, political and not for profit organisation representatives and a speech by Minister for Education, Culture and Science, Jet Bussemaker.
Originally planned for outside the US Embassy, the event will now be held in the Malieveld to cater for the expected crowds.
