Since arriving back in The Netherlands about 6 months ago, I’ve mostly attended english-speaking networking groups and events, such as Delft INA and Connecting Women. Last night though, I attended a Dutch networking event and it was fantastic! Organised by Ondernemend Delft it was held at the Theater De Veste, it was a really impressive event. Borenkool is a traditional Dutch winter dish, and bubbels refers to the champagne, with which we toasted 2013.
I also launched Zestee as a registered business in The Netherlands 0n 1 January 2013 (after moving from Australia in mid 2012), so also had reason to celebrate!
Here’s a few photos from the evening.
Food in flowerpots….
A really unique use of Delft blue china to present some goats cheese snacks…
We call this “shepards pie” in english, not sure of the Dutch name. ….
Being a social media trainer, I was impressed to see the tweets on the big screen!
The supporting partners of the event – thank you!
The representatives of the various organisations that make up Ondernemend Delft…
Lots of Delft business owners…
Cheers (Proost!) to 2013…
Then time for delicious desert…
Delft INA Susan, Renee, Manuela and Molly.
The most impressive desert I think I’ve ever seen at an event – you were served this chocolate mousse on mini whisks!!!!
Though my Dutch is still average and I couldn’t understand all of the presentation, it is wonderful to see the “samenwerken” (working together) of all the various organisations and businesses. Delft is such an amazing city and it’s wonderful to be part of it.
