Earlier this month, I attended the God is a DJ Silent Disco in The Hague, The Netherlands.
I love going out on dancing. However as a neurodivergent, I can easily get overwhelmed and overstimulated. This was a fantastic experience though, where more elements of choice were brought into the disco experience.

On Saturday 2 November 2024, the Grote Kerk in The Hague will be transformed into a unique dance floor during the event God is a DJ silent disco. Something for everyone
‘Three channels, three styles, your choice.’ With that motto, JMR Event Makers in cooperation with Silent Disco Events is organising God is a DJ silent disco in the Grote Kerk on Saturday 2 November. Visitors will be given headphones with three channels and can switch between them themselves. The genres vary, so there is something for every dance lover, ‘from guilty pleasures and disco hits to banging dance records’.
Silent disco in monumental setting
Jasper Scholten, director of JMR Event Makers: ‘We did not want to organise just any club night, but to create something really special.
