2019 Rise and Lead Connect2Grow

Rise & Lead Women started as a summit in 2018 in The Hague, the Netherlands and has grown into a movement, under the inspirational leadership of Ebere Akadiri.

Recognising the need for entrepreneurs to continue to connect with each other between conferences, Rise & Lead also offer a quarterly “Connect2Grow” session. The first was held on Thursday 31 January 2019.

With her experience of building several businesses, first in Nigeria and now in the Netherlands, Ebere shared some stories and systems to help others also grow. She talked about goal setting, breaking it down into cycles, commitment and discipline.

After Ebere’s presentation, we were all divided into mentoring circles, facilitated by group leaders. Ours was led by Deborah Valentine, executive director of ACCESS, and at my table was a wonderfully diverse group of women. Maureen is recent graduate at the start of her career, Clare is growing a multinational finance company, Rawia is a NLP practitioner and coach who helps people and organisations deal with change and Beatrice educates people to succeed in both their marriage and their business – she believes that by overcoming personal problems there are no problems in business.

Clare Summerfield, CEO of Elliot Lloyd International then rounded off the evening with some encouragement for women to spend time in their business and careers focussing on financial freedom.

Then we rounded off the evening with some networking.

The 2019 Summit will be held in September, and more Connect2Grow events will be held soon. For more information, visit: http://www.riseandleadwomen.com

If you’re not close to The Hague, there are also online web mentoring and masterclasses.
