On 23 November 2017, I had the absolute pleasure of delivering the Google “offline Digital Workshop” to a delightful group of young students and entrepreneurs of Fellow Rotterdam. This programme is part of a project offered via a partnership of Google with digital agency How & Knower, offering students throughout the Netherlands and Belgium the opportunity to improve their digital skills. Both online and offline training is combined to meet this objective, and this workshop was a full day “offline” training held at the trendy tech community in Rotterdam, 42workspace.
We went through the digital customer journey, followed by basics of SEO (search engine optimisation), SEA (search engine advertising) and Google Analytics. Along the way, we covered many basics of digital marketing.
With a fairly small group, it was wonderful to be able to talk personally to the participants both throughout the training and at a “borrel” (drinks) afterwards. Feedback was positive and several people shared examples of how they will put the practical skills to use.
Renee was great! She made it interactive and engaging for all the Fellows present, despite the different levels of experience with marketing among the group. Her use of personal examples and applications made it very practical and relevant to everyone.
A really rewarding day, I hope I get the chance to work with this great group again in the future!
