Le Marie Marché – French Marke   (6 -7  May)

Inspired by the dreamy atmosphere of French markets, Le Marie Marché will be organised on the Kerkplein on Saturday 6 May and Sunday 7 May. With many delicious and beautiful wares.

The characteristic market is all about discovering and enjoying.

At this special market you will find inviting food stalls with fantastic strawberries, organic cheeses, sweet delicacies, quality breads, Mediterranean treats and much more. There will also be numerous lifestyle stalls where you will find seasonal lifestyle articles and antiques and collectibles.

There is no better spot to do your shopping this weekend.

Japanese garden in Clingendael Park (until 11 June)

The magnificent Japanese Garden is the crown jewel of Clingendael Park, with beautiful and rare trees and plants. The garden is extremely fragile. That is why the Japanese Garden is open only 8 weeks in the year.

Due to its fragility, the Japanese Garden can be visited only during a short period of the year. It is open a few weeks in the spring and in the autumn.

The garden will be open from Saturday, 29 April to Sunday, 11 June.

Given the garden’s fragility, it is not possible to visit it with strollers or baby carriages and electric mobility devices. The garden has only limited access to people in a wheelchair. A separate entrance is available for wheelchairs with a special shorter route through the garden. In addition it is also prohibited to enter the garden with dogs. If the garden has too many visitors, you may have to wait outside before you are allowed in. The fragility of the plants means there is a limit on the number of visitors allowed at a given time.

SYMPHONIC JUNCTION #21: Residentie Orkest play  A symphonie of Horror @ Paard   (May 6)

Horror classic and cult movie ‘Nosferatu’ from 1822 was one of the first films based on Bram Stoker’s vampire empos ‘Dracula’. To by-pass the copyrights, the elegant Dracula was turned into the monsterous count Orlok. Stoker’s widow was not amused and made sure the film wasn’t distributed. But we have one copy…A terrifying film night with live music by the Philharmonic Orchestra in now a fact!
