Yesterday, The Hague City hall welcomed thousands of “internationals”, providing information and entertainment to help them feel more at home in The Hague.
The 10th anniversary edition featured an education theme, with representatives from primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in The Hague and surrounds.
Mayor Jozias van Aartsen officially opened the event as one of his final official speeches as he steps down at the end of this month after 8 years in this role.
Fair project manager, Claire Bishton: “The Feel at Home in The Hague Fair is a celebration of this dynamic and diverse region which many of us have made our home: a meeting point for internationals to share their pleasure in living here and the community and services which have helped them settle in.”
With around 150 stands showcasing business and community groups that provide services to the international community, the day also offered entertainment including Irish Dance, a puppet show and much more.
