The FIFA fan award was announced in Zurich on Monday evening. As the award was being announced, ADO fan coordinator Koos Roeg could clearly been seen. ADO’s great action at Feyenoord was up against the fans of Norway and their “Thunderclap” at the European championships, also against the fans of both Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund singing “You’ll never walk alone” before the Europa league quarter final at Anfield.
Unfortunately, ADO did not win. The prize going to the fans of Liverpool and Dortmund. No surprise due to their huge world wide support. But for ADO, it was a great night. Once again the world saw how great the fans of our great club are. This should boost the reputation of the club’s supporters and give them the respect and prestige they surely deserve.
Everybody should be so proud of this nomination. So, remember, you have a set of world famous fans in your own back yard. So please, why don’t you go along to the Kyocera stadium and join in with the rest of the local support.
