Jesus Christ Superstar (20 December-08 January 2017)
From 20 December – 8 January 2017, the English language production of Jesus Christ Superstar with Ted Neeley can be seen at the World Forum Theater. Sold-out venues, standing ovations that last for minutes, and enthusiastic responses from the press and audiences. The international rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar captured the hearts of tens of thousands in 2015. By special request from none other than Jesus himself, Ted Neeley, the musical masterpiece by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice is returning to the Netherlands one last time. A unique opportunity to see the 73-year-old Ted Neeley in the role of his life.
Alice in Wonderland (25-28 December)
This Christmas enjoy a trippy journey down the rabbit hole with Alice and friends. The stage set and costumes are inspired by the surreal imagery of M.C.Escher, the show choreographed by Thom Stuart and De Dutch Don’t Dance Division’s Rinus Sprong, accompanied by Residentie Orkest performing the much loved Tchaikovsky’s score. A magical festive peek into a land of wonder.
2016 Royal Christmas Fair The Hague (13-23 December)
Stroll through quaint stands and get into the holiday spirit with mulled wine, flammkuchen, twinkle lights and special theatre and storytelling performances. Daily from 12pm-9pm from 13-23 December.
Cool Event Scheveningen (13 November – 15 January)
This winter Scheveningen is again the place to be for the ultimate winter sport experience. From 13 November 2016 to 15 January 2017, The Hague’s beach resort will be transformed into a true winter wonderland called ‘Cool Event’. Ice skate on a beautiful ice rink of 600 m2 located next to the Kurhaus Hotel. Enjoy a drink on a heated winter terrace – glühwein and hot chocolate are firm favourites for this time of year!
TINK Amazing Shop Windows The Hague (08-25 December)
Shoppers in downtown The Hague can enjoy more than 50 beautifully decorated Christmas window displays, organised again this year from 8 to 25 December during TINK Amazing Shop Windows The Hague 2016. The shops are competing with one another to be chosen for the most regal and elegant shop display.
Trijntje Oosterhuis Christmas Concert (30 December)
A beautiful Christmas concert by one of the finest soul singers in the Netherlands performed in an intimate setting. A wonderfully festive treat to enjoy with loved ones this winter.
Super Heroes NYE Party (31 December)
Get your cape and mask on and get ready to party like a true superhero this New Years Eve. The dance line up includes sets by Punica Oase & Captain Lollieknots, DJ Fatman and DJ Daredevil – and after midnight the club welcomes Villains and Sidekicks too. Time to see 2017 in with a big BANG and KARPOW!
UNOX New Year’s Dive Scheveningen (1 January 2017)
Welcome 2017 with a Scheveningen splash as you join 10,000 other brave souls in the annual dash into the freezing North Sea during the biggest winter plunge in The Netherlands. The first dive was held at Scheveningen in 1965 and has been sponsored by Unox since 1998. Ticket sales begin on the beach from 1030am and your 3 euro entry includes the Unox beanie, a goody bag with soup and 1 euro donation to a charity. Numbers are capped at 10,000 and tickets cannot be booked in advance.
