The Hague International Centre marked its 15th anniversary with a celebratory gathering at Greens Restaurant and Garden in The Hague on 25 September 2025.
The afternoon brought together partners, stakeholders and community members to highlight THIC’s long-standing role in supporting internationals and strengthening the city’s international community.
As I was teaching that day, I was a bit late to the event and unfortunately missed the speeches. However it was nice to catch up with many members of the International community in this lovely setting.
The event created space for meaningful conversations and renewed collaborations, celebrating the people and organisations that have contributed to The Hague’s welcoming and inclusive environment over the past fifteen years.

As part of the anniversary programme, an exhibition titled “15 Years of The Hague International Centre” will take place from 8-24 October in the Atrium City Hall.
The exhibition will look ahead as well as back, showcasing key moments, stories and impact from the Centre’s work, and offering visitors a chance to explore how the international community in The Hague has grown and evolved.
