I just joined up for this today (31 August 2025) via a link on my Chat GPT account. I needed to enter my DOB and got this welcome screen:

When trying to create a video randomly, I can’t use my business name as a user name:
I originally created the business name Zestee almost 20 years ago, and it was totally unique then – not anymore. Still I get that freeze feeling when trying to create a user name! Do I try to go anonymous? Should it mean something? What is even possible!
I added a “1” – it allowed me to click on “create” – but then – something went wrong! So back to this screen of the image I chose and no idea what to do next.
Then, tried the same thing again and was “added to queue”. ..then back to this screen.
I realise my lack of prompting is not helpful, but just clicking around curiously…and documenting the experience here!
For now, I’m giving up already, other things I need to be doing. I’ll come back and do the tutorials later, and update this post when I have some more experience.
I also need to research more into the capabilities and copyright/permissions. At least for now, I’ve taken my very first step, navigated to Sora and had a little look around! Part of my AI learning journey is to just explore, even briefly.
