Jazz Festival Delft 2017 (24- 27 August)

During this festival, there are various performances in bars and pleins in the centre of Delft.
One of the star attractions is “One Love” who with jazz singer Kim Hoorweg bring an ode to Amy Winehouse.
After the major productions like ‘Swan Lake’ and ‘The Odyssey’ choreographer Lonneke van Leth presents a new and exciting version of ‘Carmen’, based on the well known opera from Bizet. The Case Carmen or “De Zaak Carman” in Dutch can be seen from 25 -27 August in the Zuiderstand Theater
It will be an impressive show with 37 dancers, choreographed by Lonneke van Leth, music composed by Maxim Shalygin, performed live by 11 musicians from the New European Ensemble, text written by Martijn de Rijk for the actor and 24 singers. All of this in a decor designed by artist Vincent de Kooker.
Open Day Golfbaan Delfland (27 August)
On Sunday 27 August, GolfBaan Delfland will host an Open day from 14:00 – 17:00. You can get to know Golfbaan Delfland in all its facets.
On this Open Day, everyone can in a fun, accessible way get acquainted with Delfland and the beautiful sport of golf!
A lot of activities will be organised for young and old. You can learn about golf from one of their PGA qualified golf professionals. Of course you can hit some balls yourself on our covered driving range or practise chipping, pitching and putting.
There are also guided tours, special promotions and more!
Non-golfers can relax on the terras of the Brasserie Delfland and soak up the atmosphere.

The Hague Art and Antique Days 2017 (26 -27 August)
This weekend, the 24th edition of Hague Art and Antique Days (Haagsche Kunst- en Antiekdagen) are taking place on Lange Voorhout in the centre of The Hague.
Antique and history lovers can peruse the wide variety of art and antiques on offer.
The market takes place between 10:00 and 17:00 and boasts more the 165 stands showcasing antiques, books, sculptures, Brocante, Curiosa, ceramics, art and vintage. The stand holders come from both The Netherlands and abroad.
Additionally, over the weekend, the Venduehuis (Auction house) is offering free evaluations of your art and antiques.
