Along the waters of Westland, you can find a place to sit and watch an hour-long parade of wonderful floral floating spectacles. Over 400 000 visitors watch the parade each year.

The boats are ‘Westlanders’ and ‘Sailing Westlanders’. In the past these boats were used for transporting produce to auction. Both boats were made from wood before World War One, and then from iron and steel. They are specially designed to sail through the shallow Westland and Delfland waters. Each boat is 10 to 18 metres long and can carry between 10 and 30 tons.
