Weekend Special (21 – 23 July 2017)

This year marks the 25th edition of The Hague Open – the 3rd largest professional international men’s tennis tournament in the Netherlands after Rotterdam (ATP-500) and Rosmalen (ATP-250). It will take place on July 17-23 at the legendary Mets Tennisbanen in Scheveningen.

The tournament consists of  male tennis players that are world ranked from 89 to 227.


On July 22, the second edition of the ”gratis” underground SuBmarine Festival will take place with 35 acts, of which many come from The Hague, performing across four stages at PIP.

Sound artist and instrument builder Yuri Landman will open the festival. He has built three new instruments at the “iii The Hague”project and will use them for the first time during SuBmarine. He opens the festival at 17:00 with an experimental improvisation.


Dutch & American mix @ Haagse Kunstkring  (22 July)

 

On Saturday 22 July, the Haagse Kunstkring organizes a concert with an unusual musical combination.

The Dutch percussionist Konstantyn Napolov joins musicians from New York: Max Kanowitz, percussion, and Coreisa Janelle Lee, flute. They will play a mix of contemporary compositions and new arrangements of popular songs.


Rastaplas Reggae Festival 2017 (22 & 23  July)

On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July, the Rastaplas Reggae Festival takes places with artists from within The Netherlands and overseas bringing unique vibes to the Noord AA beach in Zoetermeer.

This year the festival is spread over two days and the main headliners are the Jamaican bands Twinke Brothers and Jampara & The Battelion as well as British reggae band Black Slate
