International School of The Hague: “Excellente School”

Last week, the Primary School of the International School of The Hague (ISH) was awarded the status of “Excellente School” by Ms Anke Buiteveld, Directeur Internationaal Beleid from the Ministry of Education.

Excellente School” status is a prestigious award given by the Dutch Ministry of Education in recognition of the high quality of education offered at a school.

Along with a total of 184 schools nationwide, ISH Primary will enjoy this status for a period of 3 years. ISH Primary is the first International School in the Netherlands to receive this honour.

Ms Juliette van Eerdewijk, Principal of ISH Primary, is overjoyed with the achievement and regards it as recognition of the passion with which education is provided. At ISH Primary “Looking for Learning” is the key distinguishing factor underlying the educational approach.

The International School of the Hague joins sister schools Rijnlands Lyceum Wassenaar and Rijnlands Lyceum Sassenheim from the Rijnlands Lyceum Foundation, on the list. Dr Maarten Knoester, Executive Director of the foundation, is very pleased and proud to see that the Rijnlands schools continue to realise their ambition to move from “good to great”.
