Cadance Festival (27 January – 12 February)

Premiere festival: up-and-coming top talents and Dutch leading choreographers. ‘The Art of Seeing’ is this year’s theme, with CaDance spotlighting the role of the audience and the experience of art. This theme is given further shape in a rich fringe program featuring the encounter between artists and the audience.
2017 International Film Festival Rotterdam (25 January – 5 February)

IFFR is one of the largest audience and industry-driven film festivals in the world. During twelve festival days, hundreds of filmmakers and other artists present their work to a large audience (2016: 305.000 admissions) and 2.538 film professionals. The festival’s Official Selection includes some 252 feature films and 225 short films out of 50 countries. It aims to organise and stimulate film-related activities in Rotterdam.
Women Economic Forum (27-28 January)

Inspiring women leaders and achievers from all walks of life will be part of the Women Economic Forum – European Union, WEF-EU 2017, from 27th-28th Jan 2017 in The Hague with the theme “EU: Reinventing Itself – Women Empowerment & Inclusion.”

Royal Conservatorium The Hague Open Day (28 January)

Shakatak (28 January)

British jazz-funk group Shakatak was formed in 1980. Success was almost instantaneous, with their first single, Easier Said than Done, staying in the UK Singles Chart for seventeen weeks.
Border Kitchen: Yaa Gyasi (28 January)

Yaa Gyasi is coming to BorderKitchen! On January 28th Gyasi, the American literary promise of the moment, will honour us with a visit to talk about her debut novel Homegoing.
