Famous street musician, Chuck Deely, has died. He was well known for playing almost daily outside HEMA in the Grote Marktstraat reports Den Haag FM.
Charles Edward Deely, was born in 1951 in the American city of Detroit but has lived for some time in The Hague. He passed away in the Weesteinde hospital. The police are looking for family members. If they are not found, The Hague City Council will pay for his funeral.
Last month, when Chuck was suffering from the flu, The Hague resident Alexander Spoor organised a campaign asking for donations to compensate for the fact that Chuck was not able to play during the busy Christmas period. This raised 4,750 euros.
