Jesus Christ Superstar (20 December-08 January 2017)

From 20  December – 8 January 2017,  the English language production of Jesus Christ Superstar with Ted Neeley can be seen at  the World Forum Theater.  Sold-out venues, standing ovations that last for minutes, and enthusiastic responses from the press and audiences. The international rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar captured the hearts of tens of thousands in 2015. By special request from none other than Jesus himself, Ted Neeley, the musical masterpiece by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice is returning to the Netherlands one last time. A unique opportunity to see the 73-year-old Ted Neeley in the role of his life.


American Book Center Trade In Day (06 January)

Are your bookshelves full and do you need to make some space for new favorites? This may be a perfect opportunity. Bring us your unwanted books: we accept all genres of fiction, including science fiction & fantasy, romance, crime and chick-lit and we also accept your old graphic novels. Please note that we do not accept non-fiction and children’s books!


City Ball Delft (07 January 2017)

Kick off the new year with tickets to the annual ‘Stadsbal Delft – the Winter edition’ at Theater de Veste! You can either take part in a variety of dance workshops or arrive a bit later to watch the professionals in action!


Girls Chess Tournament (07 January 2017)

 As a follow up of the girls chess tournament in the Crown Plaza Hotel, The Hague on 24 September, Frank & Free are organising another chess tournament for girls on Saturday, 7 January 2017. Frank & Free gives girls a chance. Gender balance in action. Thanks to the sponsors, there are many prizes in cash, hotel stays, dinners in the best restaurants in The Hague and luxury cosmetics.

Beach Marathon/The Black Marathon (8 January)

The Beach Marathon (also known as the Black Marathon) is for runners and walkers organised by the Non Profit Den Haag Marathon organisation.  It is for charity through the Lionsclub 1 The Hague for a children’s house, Kindertehuis in Loosduinen. Distances: Running: 42km individual or relay in teams, Walking: 5, 10, 20, 30km.


Cool Event Scheveningen (13 November – 15 January)

This winter Scheveningen is again the place to be for the ultimate winter sport experience. From 13 November 2016 to 15 January 2017, The Hague’s beach resort will be transformed into a true winter wonderland called ‘Cool Event’. Ice skate on a beautiful ice rink of 600 m2 located next to the Kurhaus Hotel.  Enjoy a drink on a heated winter terrace –  glühwein and hot chocolate are firm favourites for this time of year!   This is the last weekend to enjoy the ice slide and ice sculptures exhibition, which both close on the 8th January.


Top 2000 Dance Party (06 January 2017)

What could be more fun than dancing to songs from the Top 2000, the most popular List Of All Times? Top 2000 is for the young and old, the best songs in pop history will be revisited this evening. In addition, the BoogieWonderBand plays live disco to which you simply cannot stand still. In short, an evening of good music to dance to plus live disco, the whole nine yards! “So put on your dancing shoes and come join the party!”
