St Andrews Charity Ball (26 November)

The St. Andrew’s Society of NL was formed in 1985. Its aims are to promote Scottish culture and, by doing so, raise funds for charities in Scotland and The Netherlands. The principal occasion, St. Andrew’s Day [30th Nov] is celebrated in traditional formal style with St. Andrew’s Ball. The dances we do may not be familiar to you, but don’t worry – they  have a “caller” – that’s what the Scots call the dance teacher who walks, and talks, you  through each dance before you  do it.
