🇬🇧 IT’S ARRIVED!  A new English-language glossy about The Hague: Kingstreet
A magazine about the good life in the city, featuring stories on new restaurants, the best beauty boutiques, and practical tips, such as where to find an English-speaking dentist or real estate agent.
Cover models include a diverse international group of professionals: a general manager, cosmetic doctor, real estate agent, and champagne maker, who all share their inspiring stories in the first edition of Kingstreet.
TheHagueOnline attended the launch event last week at Hotel Indigo , where Chief Editor Annerieke Simeone presented Mayor Jan van Zanen with the first issue.
“Today we cannot imagine what The Hague would be without internationals. The many international organisations, the NGOs, companies and their personnel, along with their partners and families, they really define the character,” said van Zanen.
Simeone explained how she had noticed that English-speaking clients at a beauty salon flicked through the “Big Ons in De Residentie” Dutch magazine and were disappointed to not be able to read it. Â And so, after several conversations, a search for a suitable name and many interviews and photographs later, Kingstreet was created.
Since last week, you can find Kingstreet in bookstores across The Hague.
