Help build the gigantic installation – the Pillars of Hope @ Museon Omniversum

Help Museon-Omniversum fill two impressive, 8-meter-high installations with a fantastic collection as a tribute to our beautiful planet.

What are the Pillars of Hope?

The Pillars of Hope will be a tribute to biodiversity and a celebration of human ingenuity. They make visitors realize that the balance between humans and nature must be restored and that human creative ability is the key to success. It inspires action. That is what we want to achieve.

This autumn when you enter the museum, we want you to be unable to avoid them: Two imposing 8-meter-high pillars.

One pillar represents the Biosphere; you can see the splendour of all life on Earth. A sumptuous collection of colours and organisms in nature!

The other pillar represents the “Technosphere”: all the materials us humans have made. Alongside the heavy materials, you will see hopeful materials that symbolise resourceful humans: from telescopes to school desks, from reed boats to hydrogen-making machines.

The Pillars will be made from reusable materials and our own collection pieces.

Will you help us build?

To be able to build the Pillars of Hope, we have started this crowdfunding campaign and hope to raise €25.000,-. We need your help to do this. With your donation, we can prepare many collection pieces and acquire extra special pieces to make the story as complete as possible.

Thanks to contributions so far,  tiger Hermes from Diergaarde Blijdorp and the world’s largest flower Rafflesia will soon be shown in the biosphere pillar.

For the technosphere pillar we can admire a traditional reed boat from Lake Titicaca and the hopeful artwork Flip-Flop Fish from Kenya’s Ocean Sole.

Will you help make a difference?  Build the Pillars of Hope with us!
