The club are very proud to announce that the ADO Den Haag fans are nominated for the first edition of the FIFA Fan Award! This is a prize that is awarded to a fans action made during year, who did some very imaginative things. The moment for which our supporters are nominated, the toy action during the match against Feyenoord in De Kuip. Our fans in the away end threw hundreds of cuddly toys down into the section below where sick children from the Sophia Children’s hospital were invited by Feyenoord to sit and watch the match. This fantastic action made headlines all over the world.

The other nominees are Liverpool and Dortmund supporters together singing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone” 27 years after the Hillsborough disaster and the justice come true. Also nominated are the supporters of Iceland, because of their now famous ‘Thunder Clap’ encouragement after they lost their quarter-final at the European Championships against France.
On January 9th, during the FIFA gala in Zurich, the winner will be announced.
